52 Week Project | Week 17: Favorite Things

I had in my head an idea I wanted to try with my kids (favorite things #1 & #2) have one hold a diet coke can (if you know me, you know i live on diet coke, terrible, right?) and one hold a whatchamacalit (try it!).  Anyway when you have an idea and want to implement it one day ahead of time, at the end of the day, when the kids are tired and hungry, it’s not the BEST choice.  So I got a mediocre shot of the kids standing near each other holding the items (not the way I wanted them to) and a shot of the items on the ground after my son had destroyed the can, which is pretty much is MO with most things.

Once we headed inside the kids “insisted” I open their school Mother’s Day Presents.  The look of joy on their faces was priceless, and because they made them and were so joyful to give them to me,  I have two new favorite things.   The gifts are now proudly displayed on the desk in my office.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, I hope you enjoy your favorite things this weekend!  Now you can check out Misty Setzler, Lubbock, Tx family photographer http://www.mistysetzlerphotography.blogspot.com/ from The Bloom Forum and see her favorite things.
